Box Score Selinsgrove, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn Lions women's basketball team were defeated by Susquehanna today 73-50. The Lions fall to 1-3 overall.
The Lions were looking to get back on track as they traveled to Selinsgrove, Pa. to take on the Susquehanna Crusaders in non conference action. The Lions and Crusaders exchanged points in the first quarter, but the Lions were never able to get the lead. The quarter ended with the Lions only trailing by 3, 21-18.
The second quarter got away from the Lions as the Crusaders slowly started to increase their lead throughout the quarter. The Lions shot 3 of 16 from the field and were not able to stop the Crusaders attack. The Crusaders outscored the Lions 20-8 in the second.
The third and fourth quarter had the Lions trying to play catch up. The Lions just continued to struggle from the field, shooting 38% in the third and 25% in the fourth. As well the Lions struggled from beyond the arc, going 0 for 11 for the game.
The Lions Taylor Davis had a great day scoring a team high 15 points, a team high 2 blocks and 5 rebounds. Kristina Clark scored 11 points with 6 rebounds. Bianca Felciano led the team with 9 rebounds and added 6 points.
The 73-50 defeat puts the Lions at 1-3 overall for the season. The Lions have a week off, until they are back on the road to cross the Delaware River and travel to North Jersey to take on Jersey City in non conference action. The game against Jersey City is scheduled for Saturday December 19th at 2:00 pm.
