Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team picked up their fifth NEAC conference win against Wilson, 84-45 in Thursday night action.
Kristina Clark led the Lions with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. Je'la Watson scored 18 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals. Keana Schoennagle scored 12 points, and had four rebounds. Bianca Felciano led the backcourt with 11 rebounds, seven points and five assists.
The Lions started the game with an 8-0 run, led by three layups made by Clark. The Phoenix got on the board at the 6:00 minute mark from the arc, but the Lions responded with back to back three pointers from Schoennagle and Felciano. Bryn Athyn played strong defense and kept Wilson within single digits in the first quarter, while taking a 15-point lead. The Phoenix tried to chip away at the Bryn Athyn lead in the second quarter, but the Lions kept their offensive pressure. Led by Watson going 3-3 from the field for seven points. Lions went into halftime with a 41-23 lead.
Bryn Athyn started the third quarter on a strong note, led by Clark with 10 points. The Lions out shot the Phoenix 23-7, holding them to only three field goals. In the fourth quarter, the Lions out scored the Phoenix 20-15. Watson scored eight points and went 6-6 from the foul line. Bryn Athyn built their largest lead to 42 points and scored 25 points off turnovers. The Lions shot 38.5% from the field en route to the win.
