Lions fall to Rutgers Camden 72-56

Camden, NJ - The Lions fall to Rutgers Camden 72-56 in non conference action on Monday night.

The Lions traveled east across the Delaware River to take on the Rutgers Camden Scarlet Raptors. The Lions and Raptors exchanged basket early in the first quarter. With the Raptors holding off the Lions 16-13, Keanna Schoenaggle hit a three pointer to tie the game 16-16 with 2:52 left. The Raptors closed out the quarter with 4 straight points taking the 20-16 lead.

In the second quarter the Raptors Kamari Talley took over the game scoring 10 of her 38 points in the second. The Lions were outscored by the Raptors 20-8 in the quarter. 

The Lions battled back in the third quarter cutting the lead to 11, 53-42. Bianca Felciano had a big quarter with 8 points, including a three pointer with 1:39 left in the third.

In the fourth, the Lions cut the lead to 10 with a Kristina Clark free throw. The Raptors were able to hold off the Lions for the 72-56 victory over the visiting Lions. 

The Lions received 13 points and 10 rebounds from junior guard/forward Kristina Clark. Kristina also added team highs of five assists and five steals.
 
Junior guard Bianca Feliciano tallied 11 points, while junior guard Keana Schoennagle scored 10 points.

The Lions return to action on Thursday January 7th, as they host NEAC opponent Gallaudet at 8:00 pm at Asplundh Field House.
