Box Score WASHINGTON – The Bryn Athyn women's basketball team lost, 73-57, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC)South Division game to host Gallaudet on Tuesday night .
The Bryn Athyn women's basketball team were looking to secure its hold on second place in their match up against Gallaudet. The Lions fell behind 29-17 in the first quarter. The second quarter saw both teams struggling to score with Gallaudet outscoring the Lions 14-9. The teams went into the half with the Lions down 43-26. Kristina Clark scored 10 points in the half for the Lions.
Gallaudet continued to increase their lead in the third quarter outscoring the Lions 17-13. At one point in the quarter the Lions found themselves down by 28 points. The Lions battled back in the fourth, outscoring Gallaudet 18-13, but the Gallaudet lead was too much for the Lions to overcome. The Lions fell to Gallaudet 73-57 for their seventh loss in the NEAC moving to 12-7 in conference play.
Kristina Clark led the Lions in scoring with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Sarah Elizabeth Anturase had six blocks on the night. Sarah has accumalated 95 blocks on the season leading the NEAC with 4.0 blocks per game.
The Lions are back in action Saturday as they travel to Penn College on Saturday February 20th, in a game that could determine the Lions play-off hopes.
