Stellar Performance From Clark Helps Women's Basketball Get Back on Winning Track

How It Happened:

After suffering the season's first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) loss, Bryn Athyn College travels to Chambersburg, Pa. to face Wilson College and was paced by Kristina Clark who had an outstanding performance with season high 38 points and collegiate career high 32 rebounds. Clark wasted no time in the beginning as she quickly grabbed three rebounds and four points to put the Lions on the scoreboard first. In the end of the first quarter, Clark already had a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards. By the end of the second quarter, the Lions led 46-29 over the Phoenix.  

The Lions continued their stellar performance in the second half with Clark recording another double-double in the third quarter with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  The Phoenix were close to the Lions in terms of team scoring, but their deficit created in the first half ensured that triumph belonged to the visiting team as the Lions rebounded from their previous loss. They got back on the winning track with an 87-66 NEAC victory. 

Lions' Top Performers

* Clark surpassed her previous highs in rebounds, both offense and defense, with 15 boards on offense and 17 on defense. She also added game high six steals.
Brittany Vick and Samantha Hicks added 17 and 12 points respectively.

Phoenix's Top Performers:  

* Lindsay Purvis scored team high 22 points to go along with seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks.

* Jordyn Day, Kristen Burdo, and Ashley Henderson added 19, 13, and 10 points respectively.

Next Game:  

Women's Basketball returns home to face Penn State - Berks in a 1:00 p.m. NEAC contest on Saturday, January 14.
