How It Happened:
Bryn Athyn College started out the contest strong by scoring nine straight points for an early 9-0 lead. SUNY Poly would come back and pull within three, 16-13, by the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Lions held the Wildcats to 13 points again and would also be able to extend themselves by a nine point gap with 35-25 heading into intermission.
In the third period, the Wildcats would battle back into the game and come to a tie at 42-42 with 4:52 left. The Lions would find themselves behind 51-46 before Keana Schoennagle knocked down a three ball followed by a lay up from Kristina Clark and another long range shot from Brittany Vick to take a 54-51 lead. The Wildcats would add two more points to trim their deficit to one heading into the final period.
In the final period, after a 60-60 tie, the Wildcats went on a tear, holding the Lions to only two points as they scored 17 straight points to finish the contest in a 77-62 victory and stand in first place in the North Eastern Athletic Conference standings.
