Women's basketball falls at Keuka

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team suffered a 64-43 loss to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponent Keuka College Sunday afternoon.

Zeniyah Sanders paced Bryn Athyn (6-16, 3-10 NEAC) with 12 points and seven rebounds, both team highs. Allie Warren added 10 points.

The Lions were down 5-2 early in the first quarter, however, they came back with a Sha'Vion Woodland layup and a Morgan Phillips jumper on back-to-back possessions to move ahead 6-5 with 4:16 left. After Bryn Athyn regained a two-point lead (9-7) on the first of two Warren 3-pointers, Keuka (15-5, 10-3 NEAC) ended the quarter on a 9-2 run to lead 16-11.

Bryn Athyn struggled offensively in the second quarter, scoring two points on a pair of Clayshonia Cogmon free throws with 59 seconds left before the half, and fell behind 32-13 at the break. The Lions were 0-of-14 from the field, while the Wolves went 7-of-15.

After being outscored 17-12 in the third quarter, Bryn Athyn shot 6-of-13 in the final 10 quarter as the Lions outscored Keuka 18-15.

Lauren Anten paced the Wolves with 12 points. Riley Record added 10 points and four rebounds.

Keuka shot 41.5 percent (27-of-65) from the field, including 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from 3-point range. Bryn Athyn ended the game shooting 29.3 percent (17-of-58) overall, 2-of-8 from behind the arc.

Bryn Athyn heads to Gallaudet for a NEAC southern division clash on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
