In the opening period Bryn Athyn kept the lead scoring three goals. First to score, within the first minute, was Basile with an assist from freshman Alex Garcia. Not long after Perkett scored the second goal of the period with an assist from senior James Cole and freshman DJ May. Towards the end of the first, Pamaylaon scored the third goal with an assist from Eric Higgins. Going into the second the score was 3-0 Lions.
Entering the second Bryn Athyn was able to keep the lead. Scoring first in the period was Bryn Athyn's Zach Pamaylaon with an impressive shot and no assists. Not long after TCNJ scored their first goal of the game on freshman goalkeeper Michal Nabozny. Ending the second the score was 4-1 Lions.
Going into the final period tensions rose as TCNJ began to come back, scoring two more goals. Not allowing any more goals Nabozny saved thirty-three shots on goal and only allowed three throughout the entire game.
