Cold shooting night plagues women's basketball on the road

Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team traveled down the turnpike to Wilson College for a league game and fell 62-41 to the Phoenix

Inside the box score
  • Junior Terrae Lewis led the Lions in scoring with 15 points. She also corralled 9 rebounds.
  • Kaylia Duncan was the only other Lion in double figures with 11. She swiped 5 steals as well.
How it happened
  • Lions jumped out to an early 6-2 lead off of two three pointers from freshman Reilly Ward and Lewis.
  • The Phoenix went on to finish the first frame on a 15-6 run to take a 17-12 lead after one quarter of play
  • The second quarter was more even play. WIlson would end up winning the quarter 12-10. 
  • The Lions were able to cut the lead down to three off two free throws from Lewis with 5:59 left to play
  • Wilson would head into half time with a 29-22 lead.
  • The Lions opened the third quarter with a Duncan layup to cut it to 5, but Wilson would answer with a 13-2 run. 
  • The Lions would get no closer than 9 points the rest of the game and Wilson would cruise to a 62-41 win.

  • Bryn Athyn forced 25 turnovers but conceded 26 turnovers to Wilson
  • Bryn Athyn shot a season low 19% from the field
  • Bryn Athyn is now 6-9 on the year and 5-6 in conference play
