ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The United East Conference hosted their Championship race at St. Mary's College of Maryland over the weekend, and the Lions cross country team competed in the event.
The men's team placed 7th overall out of 11 teams, but it was senior
Rafe Williams who really shined in the Lions uniform when he placed 2nd overall in the conference with a time of 26:47. Williams is the most decorated runner in the Lions program with two Individual Championships, two Runner of the Year awards, a Rookie of the Year Award, 3 First Team All-Conference awards, and 1 Second Team All-Conference Award. He wraps up his conference championship running record with: 1st, 1st, 11th, and 2nd place finishes in his four years as a runner for the Lions.
Williams will move on to NCAA qualifiers as an individual runner.
