BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) is proud to announce the 2022-23 All-CSAC Men's Basketball team. The team, comprised of players from all eight CSAC institutions that sponsor men's basketball, was voted upon by the coaches in the league who were not permitted to vote for their own players.
The team includes first, second and honorable mention All-CSAC, Player, Defensive and Rookie of the Year, as well as Coach of the Year. Also, players were nominated for the All-Sportsmanship team by their respective coaches.
Sophomore Guard, Jamal Cannady Jr. | 1st Team All-CSAC | Cannady Jr averaged 23.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.9 apg, 1.7 spg on 48/42/80 FG/3FG/FT splits. Cannady Jr was the spearhead for the number one offense in the conference. He ranked second in scoring, sixth in steals and assists. He led the nation and conferencein free throws made and attempted. He also was sixth in the nation in scoring. Cannady Jr. broke program records for scoring, scoring average, free throws made and attempted, field goals made and attempted, and single game scoring record. The sophomore guard also eclipsed the 1000 point milestone late in the season and currently ranks as the third all time leader in scoring with two years left to play.
Senior Forward, Jaryn McCann - Honorable Mention All-CSAC - McCann averaged 11.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 blocks. McCann logged 8 double doubles. He ranked 18th in scoring, fourth in feild goal percentage, second in steals, sixth in rebounding and blocks. The senior forward broke the field goal percentage program record, and leaves the program as one of the best players to wear a Lions uniform.
