Men's Basketball Drop to Eastern

Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Lions returned to action Saturday against the Eastern Eagles. The Lions came into the game on a two game win streak, defeating Penn State Brandywine and Drew University.

Jeff Seigfuse was the point leader for the Lions scoring 23 points. Troy Steed helped the Lions, adding eight rebounds. 

The Eagles took a commanding 17-8 lead against the Lions halfway through the first half.  Going into the locker room at the break, the Lions trailed 41-20. Jeff Seigafuse scored half of the Lions' 20 points and Troy Steed grabbed four rebounds on the half.

Coming out of the locker room the Lions scored 12 points in the first five minutes. Followed by some great defensive play, at 13:21 Deion Boyer caused a turnover. Christian Rivera pulled in some defensive rebounds, followed by a hard drive to the basket. Rivera was fouled on the drive and converted 1-2 from the line.  

Despite second half efforts, the Eagles' lead was too deep to handle. The Eagles pulled away with the win, defeating the Lions 73-50. 

The Lions return to the court to face Williamson on the road. The game is set for 7:00pm.
