Phoenixville, PA – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team fell on the road to Valley Forge Christian College, 97-83, in Saturday afternoon action.

Deion Boyer led the Lions with 28 points and four assists. Joseph Kehoe notched 20 points and went 6-9 from the three-point line. Christian Rivera pulled back 10 rebounds and scored nine points.

The Patriots got to a quick 11-5 lead four minutes into the game. Bryn Athyn went on to a 6-0 run to tie the game at 11-11.  After Valley Forge Christian tipped in a lay up, the Lions went on a 7-0 run to build their lead to 20-13 with 12:50 left in the half.  Bryn Athyn would keep the Patriots within 10 points going into the break, with a 51-41 lead.

The Patriots kept the game within 10 points, till 9:44 left in the second.  Valley Forge Christian made a three pointer to start chipping away at the Lion lead.  The Patriots went on a 16-2 run to take a 84-76 lead.  The Lions brought the game within four points, but the Patriots' pressure was too much for the Lion in the end and fell 97-81. 

Bryn Athyn returns home this coming Monday for a 8:00 pm tip off against Cairn.
