Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Bryn Athyn Lions and the St. Mary Seahawks met for the first time in both teams' history for a 7pm start at the Asplundh Field House. The Seahawks , (CAC) arrived with a record of 2-3.
St. Mary's started with an 8-0 lead. Kehoe stopped the run with a three pointer off a Deion Boyer pass. Holding the Lions to only nine points, SMC played the BAC offense tough through the first ten minutes. The Seahawks did not let off the pedal during the first, Troy Spurrier led them with 12 points and MacGyver Biniak was able to collect in ten rebounds. Deion Boyer led the Lions with seven points. St. Mary's shot 62.5 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from the field for BAC. The score going into the locker room was 45-26.
The second half was a different story, the Lions were able to stay point for point with the Sea Hawks in the second half. At the 10:53 mark the score was 38-59. Despite the combative second half attempt by the Lions, BAC was unable to take over the SMC who shot 58% from the field. The fell 79-54.
The Lions were led by freshmen James Flagg with 14 points and nine rebounds. The Lions move to 0-5 on the season and St. Mary's moves to 3-3.
