Box Score Williamsport, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team took down Penn College 83-65 in NEAC conference action Thursday night.
Austin Nyekan led the Lions with 18 points, going 4-8 from the three point line. Joseph Kehoe had 15 points, shooting 4-7 from the arc. Anthony Wallace notched 13 points and pulled back five rebounds.
Bryn Athyn took control of the game from the beginning, only letting the Wildcats score in the first minute to tie the game at 2-2. Then the Lions went on a 16-0 run, led by Kehoe with two three pointer and Troy Steed with three lay ups. Bryn Athyn holds Penn College to single digits till make a lay up at 8:13, with the Lions leading 23-11. Bryn Athyn kept their offensive control and go into halftime with a 10 point lead, 35-25.
Lions keep their 10-point lead, two minutes into the second half. The Lions going on a 5-0 run in five minutes to rebuild their 15-point lead. The Wildcats turn around and bring the game within nine points. But the Lions stay hot in the second half and win the game 83-65. Nyekan scored 12 points and went 50 percent from the arc. The Lions out stole Wildcat 10-3 in the second half.
