Men's Basketball Falls in OT to PSU Abington

Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball lost to PSU Abington 73-69 in overtime, Sunday afternoon in NEAC conference action.

Joseph Kehoe led the Lions with 21 points and five rebounds, shooting 5-12 from the arc.  Troy Steed scored 12 points, five rebounds and four assists.  Deion Boyer put up 12 points and pulled back three rebounds. 

PSU Abington scored the first basket from the arc, the Lions answered with their own three pointer to tie the game at 3-3 in the first 30 seconds of the game.  Bryn Athyn took control to take a 7-3 lead.  PSU Abington went on a 10-0 run to taka a 13-7 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half.  The Lions tied the game at 16-16 at 6:16 with a 8-2 run.  With a quick run by PSU Abington, Lion's Kehoe made back-to-back threes to give Bryn Athyn a 29-26 lead going into halftime.

Lions came out in the second half, making two free throws by Steed to extend their lead to 31-26.  Nittany Lions fought back within two at 17:26, 33-31.   Bryn Athyn went on a 8-0 run to build their lead to 41-34 with 15 minutes left in the game.  Both teams battled to a tie at 50-50 at 7:52. Game tied at 61-61 with less than two minutes, Kehoe hit a three pointer to take a three point lead, 64-61.  Nittany Lions answered with a made foul shot and a jump shot off a missed free throw to tie the game at 64 all and took the game into overtime.

Both teams started ovetime with three pointer each, but the Nittany Lions came with a vengeance and went on a 6-2 run to win the game in overtime, 73-69.
