Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa.- Bryn Athyn Lions faced NEAC Conference opponent Wilson in Tuesday night action tonight following a big win of the Bryn Athyn Women's Basketball team.
Kehoe brought the heat to Asplundh Field House to start the game with a three-pointer from a Carlos Perez pass. The contest went point for point throughout the first which was noted within the first minute of a score 5-5. The battled was stopped at the 13 minute mark and the score was 14-11.
The Lions caused a Phoenix turnover and Deion Boyer was able to capitalized with a three for BAC. The Lions moved to 16-14 with another lead change. Wilson moved within one at the ten-minute mark. Kehoe picked up a charge at 8:34 for a change in poesession.
Wilson went on a marginal ten point run with some threes from the Wilson squad. The fast paced offensive and defensive efforts from Wilson gave them a slight advantage in the end of the half. Jiahaad Fluellen was able to stop the run with a drive to the lane and a score for two.
Turnovers would trouble the Lions, even though the Lions were getting good possession they found they were not able to convert effectively for points. Kehoe led the Lions in the first with eight points. Mylan Ward led Wilson with 13 points and five rebounds.
The second half was a similar story to that of the first half, each team fighting for every point and bucket. The BAC was not far behind Wilson and brought the game within three points in the final minutes of the game. Wilson was able to hold off the Lions despite last minute shots and defensive efforts.
Offensively and defensively, Troy Steed led BAC with 16 points and seven rebounds. Deion Boyer also picked up 14 points. The Lions shot 45 percent from the field.
Lions travel to Gallauedet this Thursday for consecutive NEAC play.
