Box Score Scranton, Pa.- The men's basketball team fall to Scranton at the Hilton Scranton Invitational in the opening game of the 2015-2016 season.
The Lions had a difficult time from the start with the Royals. The Royals hit a trio of three point shots in the beginning of the game and had a run of 15-2 through the first 6 minutes of the game.
The Lions got no closer than the final margin of 26 the rest of the way as Scranton continued to shoot the ball well. The Lions shot 40% from the field while the Royals shot 56%.
The Lions were led in scoring by Deion Boyer who had 10 points shooting 5-7 from the field and leading the Lions with 4 assist in 26 minutes of play. James Flagg led the Lions on the boards with 6 rebounds in 13 minutes of play.
The Lions ended the night with 33 rebounds , 13 Turnovers, 60% from the free throw line and 30% from beyond the arc.
Coach Justin Baxter looks to have his squad rebound from the opening season loss when the Lions return to action in the second day of the Hilton Scranton Invitational taking on Stevens Saturday November 14th at 2pm in Scranton.
