Box Score Scranton, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team fell to Steven's Tech 92-73 at the Hilton Scranton Invitational hosted by Scranton University.
Troy Steed led the Lions with 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Austin Nyekan scored 13 points, five assists, four steals and four rebounds. Nick Cereby put up 13 points; five rebounds and went 3-6 from outside of the arc.
The Ducks took an early 16-10 lead at the 13:55 mark, but the Lions went on a 10-4 run to tie the game at 20 all. Stephan Tucker hit a three to tie the game at 20-20 with 10:28 left in the first. With a lay up by Cereby, the Lions took their first lead, 22-20 at 10:10. Bryn Athyn grew their lead to four with a three pointer and made foul shot by Nyekan at 8:33. The Ducks fought back and tied the game at 27-27 with 7:19 left in the half. Both team battled in the first, but Steven's Tech would take a two edge going into the break.
The Lions started the second half with a 4-2 run to retie the game at 40-40 at 18:16. The Ducks with a one point lead at 16:59, Steven's Tech went on a 20-0 run to take a 64-44 lead at 13:32. Bryn Athyn tried to battle back, but Steven's Tech kept their offensive pressure and closed out the game with a 92-73 lead.
Troy Steed was named to the All Tournament Team.
