Box Score Radnor, Pa - The men's basketball team fell to Mary Washington at the Coaches vs Cancer Classic at Cabrini College, 95-64. The Lions move to 0-3 on the season.
The Lions kept things close early in the game getting as close as two, when Nick Cereby hit a three pointer at the 14:55 mark, to make the score 10-8. But the Eagles would not allow the Lions to get any closer from the point on, slowly increasing the lead throughout the half. Despite the efforts of Austin Nyekan who lead the Lions with 7 points in 16 minutes of play. The first half ended with the Lions trailing 50-25 to the Eagles.
The second half saw the Lions unable to get the defensive stops to cut the Eagles lead. As well the Lions struggled on the offensive end to cut into the Eagles lead as well. Coach Baxter looked to the bench to see if he could generate any offense, where Stephen Tucker contributed 8 points in 12 minutes of play and Adonis Rosario scored 7 points in 10 minutes of play. But the Eagles lead was to great and the Lions were not able to catch up, falling 95 -64 to the Eagles.
The Lions shot 45.7% from the field and 38.5% from three point range. The Lions scoring was led by Stephen Tucker and Adonis Rosario with 10 points each.
The Lions move to 0-3 on the season. The Lions are back in action on Saturday December 5th as they travel to Lancaster Bible in their fisrt NEAC game of the year.
