Box Score Doylestown, Pa. - The Lions traveled to take on Delaware Valley and their 6 game winning streak. The Lions suffer their 5th loss of the season falling to the Aggies 76-56.
The Lions were trying to break their 4 game losing streak at DVU in non conference action. The Lions start looked promising, as they stayed with the Aggies exchanging baskets early. With 12:49 left in the half, Deion Boyer made a jump shot to tie the score at 14-14. The Aggies took over the lead for the next few minutes. With 8:35 left Troy Steed made a lay up after great work on the boards by the Lions to tie the game 20-20. The Lions were not able to hold of the Aggies offense falling behind by 10 to end the half, 36-26.
The Aggies started the second half holding off the Lions and gradually increasing their lead through the half. The Lions only shot 26.9% from the field and had 8 turnovers, while the Aggies shot 50% from the field in the second half. That was the difference in the game as the Aggies moved on to win their 7th straught game, 76-56.
The Lions were led by Deion Boyer, Luis Martinez, Christian Rivera and Adonis Rivera each had eight points apiece. Stephan Tucker added seven points and a team-best eight rebounds.
The Lions will be back in action as they travel to Randolph Macon and play in their Coaches Tournament Monday December 28th and Tuesday December 29th.
