Box Score Lancaster, Pa.- The men's basketball team traveled to take on Lancaster Bible in their first NEAC match up of the 2016 season. The Lions fell to 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in the conference with 102-75 loss at Lancaster Bible today.
The Lions found themseleves down 5-0 in the first minute of the game but were able to battle back w to get the score to 10-12 with hardwork on the boards and stealls by Austin Nyekan. As well Troy Steed scoring 6 points for the Lions in that time frame. But the Lions were not able to hold off the Charger offense from there on out. The Chargers put up more than 50 points in the first half for the third straight game in a row. The first half ended with the Chargers leading by a score of 59-25.
The second half was much of the same for the Lions, as they were never able to recover and get the game within reach. The Lions felt the wrath of a Chargers squad that shot over 50% from the three point arc for the game.
The Lions were led in scoring by Adonis Rosario with 16 points and Stephen Tucker with 14 points. The Lions shot 46.9% from the field and 25% from three point range. The Lions struggled from the free throw line, making only 10 out of 19 attempts.
The 102-75 loss puts the Lions at 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Lions are back in action as they travel to Delaware Vaalley on Saturday December 12th at 2:00pm.
