Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College ending their season on a high note with a conference win over Penn College, 74-71 on Sunday morning.
The Lions were led by senior guard Joseph Kehoe with 22 points, going 5-13 from the arc and three rebounds. Troy Steed notched 10 points and pulled back four rebounds. Austin Nyekan scored nine points, two from the three point line.
Both teams battled from the start changing leads six times in the first 10 minutes. The Lions went on a 4-0 run to led by Stephan Tucker to 28-24 lead. The Wilcats answered with a 5-0 run of their own, but the Lions held them off and went into halftime with a 41-39 lead. Kehoe scored 11 points and went 3-5 from the arc. Tucker scored eight points.
Nyekan started the second half lighting up from the three-point line, but the Wildcats came back with a three pointer of their own. Bryn Athyn went on a 8-2 run to build their lead to six points, 54-48 at 15:14. Penn College brought the game within three at 13:55, but the Lions answered with back-to-back three pointers to extend their lead. With the game coming down the wire, and game tied at 71-71. Kehoe ends his career at Bryn Athyn with a buzzer beater three pointer to end the season on a high note.
