Box Score Princeton, NJ - The Lions traveled to take on D1 Princeton, member of the Ivy League. Princeton defeated the Lions 100-44 at Jadwin Gym on Sunday afternoon.
For the first time in program history the Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team played a D1 opponent. The Lions took on Ivy League member, Princeton who are coming off an overtime win over Penn. Princeton is currently on a three game win streak and have an 11-3 overall record.
From the start, the Tigers took control of the game from the Lions. The Lions were down 48-23 in the first half. The Lions shot 29% from the field (9-31) and 20% from three points range (2-10). The Lions were led by Devante Laws with 7 points and Adonis Rosario with 5 points.
The second half was much of the same for the Lions as the Tigers continued to extend their lead through the half. Devante Laws and Rahim Washington added 5 points in the half, while Stephan Tucker added 4 points.
In the 100-44 loss, the Lions were led by Devante Laws with 12 points. Adonis Rosario was second on the team in scoring with seven points.
Despite the loss, this was a historic day for the Lions playing their first D1 opponent in program history.
The Lions are back in action on Wednesday January 27th as they travel to take on Wilson in conference play.
