Men's Basketball Falls to Delaware in Non Conference Action

How It Happened:

Bryn Athyn College traveled down interstate 95 to face University of Delaware, a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I institution. The Lions fell to the Blue Hens 84-51 in a non-conference game and was led by senior forward Troy Steed and junior guard Devante Laws with 11 and 10 points respectively. 

The Lions trailed the Blue Hens from the start of the game and the home team proved to be the dominant force today. A three pointer by Laws (12:28, 16-9) was the closest the Lions came within before the Blue Hens took off into control. Delaware would extend their lead by 22 points, 43-21, into intermission. In the second half, the Blue Hens continue to slip away in the competition and the Lions trail behind by as many as 34 points and the Blue Hens stands on top in a Division III versus Division I showcase.

Lions' Top Performers

   * Steed also grabbed five rebounds and an assist to go along with 11 points. 

   * Freshman forward Lamarr Crenshaw hauled down six rebounds, three of them on offense, to go along with seven points. 

Blue Hen's Top Performers:  

   * Chivarsky Corbett led four Blue Hens in double figure scoring with 18 points. 

   * Skye Johnson, Darian Bryant, and Cazmon Hayes finished with 14, 13, and 11 points respectively to round out the Blue Hen's balanced attack.

Stats of the Game: 

   * Blue Hens out rebounded the Lions 40-27. 

   * Lions dished out six assist compared to the Blue Hens with 21 assists.

Men's Basketball opens their North Eastern Athletic Conference schedule on Tuesday, November 29, against Gallaudet University at 8:00 p.m.
