Box Score Bryn Athyn Pa. - The mens basketball team hosted Lancaster Bible on Wednesday night at Asplundh Field House. The Lions fell to the Chargers 89-69 in NEAC action.
The Lions were looking to get back on track against Lancaster Bible. Lancaste Bible who are in first place in the NEAC South Division and are undefeated at 20-0 coming into the contest with the Lions. The Lions and Chargers battled back and forth in the opneing minutes. The Lions were up 17-16 at the 13 minute mark, after two lay ups by Adonis Rosario. With the score 22-17, Christian Rivera hit a three pointer to get the Lions wo within two, 22-20. The Chargers then outscored the Lions 22-9 to close out the first half and hold a 44-29 lead over the Lions.
The Lions needed to make some stops if they were to get back in the game. The Lions went on an 8-0 run to open the start the half. The Chargers then answered and extended their lead to 19 at the 16:16 mark. The Lions could not get the lead under double digits throughput the half. The Chargers would hold a 23 point lead with 1:39 left in the game. The lead was too much for the Lions to overcome, falling to the Chargers 89-69.
The Lions were led by Adonis Rosario with 19 points and Troy Steed added 17 points in the Lions loss. The Lions move to 5-8 in the conference.
The Lions are back in action this Saturday as they host Morrisville State at 1:00 pm at Asplundh Field House.
