Lions fall on the road to SUNY Poly 75-73

Bryn Athyn Pa - The men's basketball team fell to SUNY Poly 75-73 on Sunday afternoon in conference play. 

The first half the Lions and Wildcats kept the score close. The Wildcats held the lead for the majority of the half until Stephan Tucker finished off a three point play at the 7:55 mark, putting rhe Lions up by two, 19-17.  The Lions took an 7 point lead, 38-31, with 53 seconds left when Nick Cereby hit a three pointer. The Wildcats made a three of their own to cut the led back to four, but with 3 seconds left in the half Christian Rivera hit a three pointer to extend the Lions lead back to 7 at the end of the half making the score 41-34. 

The Lions held the lead until the 16:33 mark when the Wildcats tied the score at 46. Deion Boyer made a three pointer at the 12:33 mark to put the Lions back up by 6. 30 seconds later, James Flagg got the lead baack up to 8. The Wildcats tied the score at 8:46 and from there both teams would exhange points and the lead. The Lions were up 73-70 after a Deion Boyer lay up with 1:33 left. The Wildcats hit a three pointer and lay up with under minute to go to take the lead and go onto the 75-73 victory.

The Lions were led by Christian Rivera with 17 points. Nick Cereby and Troy Steed both added 9 points in the loss. The Lions move to 5-8 in the conference. The Lions are back in action Wednesday February 10th as they host Lancaster Bible in NEAC action.
