How It Happened:

Bryn Athyn College opened the contest up with seven straight points for a 7-0 lead. Penn State- Berks would battle back to tie the game, and also went on to increase their lead. The Lions would not go away and the see-saw battle came to a 37-37 stalemate heading into intermission. 

In the second half, the competition remained close throughout majority of the time, but the Lions were able to distance themselves from the Nittany Lions on back-to-back three pointers from Deion Boyer and Devante Laws for the game's largest lead, 70-63. From there, Darren Major hit the next six points to draw the Nittany Lion's deficit to one, 70-69. The Lions would score five more points for a 75-71 lead, and it would be the last advantage before Penn State Berks would close out the second half on a 12-6 run and win 83-81. 

Nittany Lion's Top Performers

* Baba Waples scored game high 19 points and recorded five rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

* Darren Major And Nelson Hine scored 18 points a piece while Matt Thompson was the fourth Nittany Lions to score in double digits with 14 points.

Lions' Top Performers:  

* Boyer and Laws both scored team high 17 points each.
* Troy Steed and Rahim Washington finished with 14 and 11 points respectively.
