Box Score CHESTER, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team had four of its five starters score in double figures as the Lions led from start to finish in a 69-65 non-conference victory over York (N.Y.) College in the consolation game of the Widener Tip-Off for Autism Awareness held Saturday afternoon in the Widener University Schwartz Center.
Rahim Washington was Bryn Athyn's leading scorer for the second straight game thanks to a 16-point effort. Adonis Rosario was 6-for-9 from the field as part of a 15-point, seven-rebound, three-assist afternoon. Lamarr Crenshaw contributed 14 points, while Christian Rivera poured in 12 points.

The Lions wasted little time taking control of the contest, making their first three shots—including a pair of 3-pointers—to jump out to a quick 8-0 lead on a Washington triple 79 seconds into the contest. Bryn Athyn's advantage hit double figures for the first time when Washington knocked down a jumper and a free throw at the 12:02 mark of the first half to make the score 23-11.
After the Cardinals cut the gap to eight (31-23), the Lions responded with a run of nine straight points to take a game-high 17-point advantage (40-23) with 1:16 left in the half. Crenshaw led the surge with four points, while Stevenson finished off the run with a 3-pointer. During the three-minute stretch, the Cardinals 0-for-4 from the field and turned the ball over once.
The Lions by as many as 15 in the second half, but had to hold off a pair of late Cardinal comeback to preserve their first win of the year. York trimmed the Bryn Athyn cushion to three (53-50) on an Edwin Sainvil layup with 5:32 left. A Rivera layup at the 2:12 mark capped a 10-3 run that allowed Bryn Athyn to reclaim a 10-point margin (63-53).
Once again, York got within a single possession (68-65), but Rivera made the first of his two free throw attempts with nine seconds left to put the game out of reach.
Jean Joseph led the Cardinals with a game-high 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Sainvil added 15 points, while Darin Dove had 11.
York shot 40.4 percent (23-of-57) from the floor and Bryn Athyn made 34.4 percent (21-of-61) of its attempts.
