Box Score

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Led by a 5-of-7 shooting performance from behind the 3-point arc by Anthony Burr, the Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team hit a season-high 14 3-pointers as the Lions cruised to an 82-58 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory over Clarks Summit in Asplundh Field House Saturday afternoon.

Burr, thanks to his strong perimeter shooting, finished the contest with a game- and season-high 21 points. He also had four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Haybert Louchie and Okoye Taylor each connected on three triples as they contributed 16 and 14 points, respectively. Tariq Moore poured in 13 points.

Bryn Athyn (3-16, 2-6 CSAC)—a winner in back-to-back games—ended the day shooting better from 3-point range (51.9 percent, 14-of-27) than on two-point baskets (36.6 percent, 15-of-41). The 14 3-pointers are tied for the third most in program history.

The Lions also got it done on defense, holding the Defenders (3-16, 2-6 CSAC) to 37.5 percent (21-of-56) shooting, 16.7 percent (3-of-18) from three, and forcing 26 turnovers.

After trailing 2-0, Bryn Athyn controlled the rest of the first half with its lead yo-yoing between two and a half-high 11 points before settling at 42-34 at halftime. Burr shot 6-of-10 from the field, 3-of-5 from 3-point range, to record 15 points, while Louchie added 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting. The Lions made seven threes in the opening 20 minutes.

Bryn Athyn dominated the first 10 minutes of the second half, outscoring Clarks Summit 26-4 to widen the margin to 68-38 on a Lanzetta 3-pointer. Five different players scored during the run, led by Taylor's 10 points.

A Louchie 8-footer with 7:25 left in the contest gave the Lions a game-high 32-point advantage (72-40).

Marcus Dixon was Clark Summit's leading scorer with 20 points.

Bryn Athyn has a week off before heading to Keystone on Saturday, Feb. 1 for a 3 p.m. tip.
