What the coach said: "This year was different from the very start," said Coach Sean Westerlund. "I am so proud and grateful for my guys and what they accomplished these last six months. The circumstances were difficult, but they found a way to thrive. I felt like we got better every weekend, and I am extremely pleased with the way we competed in both games this weekend. It hurts to lose close games, but we had an opportunity to play with a quality team on their home floor. That experience is invaluable." Coach Westerlund continued, "I thought Anthony Burr was superb tonight. His leadership and presence on the court was exactly what we want and need from our captain. He shot the ball well, and I am happy he saw the ball fall in because I know he's worked really hard on his shot. Haybert Louchie played his best basketball the last two games. I thought that was huge for his confidence and he can use that as a springboard into the spring."

On the seniors: "This was not the year Riq or Cell chose, but they handled it like champs. I am so grateful for the year we got to spend together. They both have invested so much into this program and into the community of our college. I am so happy they had the chance to represent our college one last time this season," Coach Westerlund shared. "They both will move onto the next chapter of their lives and I cannot wait to see Tariq continue to grow his business and Cell to pursue a masters degree. That is what it's about."

Final thoughts: "This year will always be special to me as coach and to our guys. This group laid a sturdy foundation to build off of as we continue to push this thing forward. I am forever grateful for each and every one of my guys. I love them for life. I am extremely excited to see how we head into the spring and our development programming.
