BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The men's basketball team ran out of time on a would-have-been historic comeback on Wednesday, falling to Keystone 82-76.
Inside the Box Score
- Keith Bullock Jr. had clutch play after clutch play on this night, scoring 17 points by going 6-12 from the field and 5-8 from the foul line.
- Jalen Parker was downright dominant in the post, amassing 17 points and 17 rebounds.
- Will Little led the team in scoring with 18 points, including several tough buckets that he made look easy.
How it Happened
- Bryn Athyn struggled to make shots early, but used defense and physicality to stay within one through nine minutes.
- Lions' cold spell reached its nadir at the end of the half, as they went on 0-5 from 3-point range and committed 6 turnovers over the last 11 of the period.
- Giants went into the break up 15.
- Keystone stayed in the driver's seat early in the second half as well, opening the frame with a 10-3 run that all but sealed the win for the visiting team.
- Bryn Athyn retorted by outscoring Keystone 34-12 over the next 10 minutes via excellent individual defense and rim pressure.
- Time ran out on the Lions' comeback, however, and the Giants went on to win by six.
Coach's Corner
- "I was proud of our guys fight. We dug ourselves a hole in the first half and our guys fought back. We need to have more situational defensive discipline. Our focus now is on to a tough SEU team on the road." - Head Coach Sean Westerlund.
Notes
- Bryn Athyn made just two 3-pointers the entire night, marking its lowest output from downtown in Sean Westerlund's tenure as Head Coach.
- Lions remain atop the United East Skye Division at 11-2.
